In 1999 Dr Sugata Mitra installed a high speed computer that was on the internet into the outside wall of his IT firm that separated in from a slum in New Delhi, just to see what would happen.

 

Within hours kids had taught themselves how to use the internet, they were browsing. Really incredible story about how easy it is to learn about the internet, if given the opportunity.

One kid was asked by Dr Mitra to define the internet and he replied "The internet is that with which you can do anything."
